Welcome to Laboratory for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems

Laboratory for Energy Harvesting Materials and Systems (LEHMS) has guided under Distinguished Prof. Sang-Il Seok in Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology(UNIST).

Since the evolving environmental and consuming energy resources are problems in human life, the number of  impassioned scientists in renewable energy field are struggled to find the environmentally friend energy harvesting materials for developments of new cost-effective devices. In LEHMS,  the main research topic is focused on the compositions of organic-inorganic hybrid, metal chalcogenide materials and their applications.  In particular, new materials are going to be utilizing to development of solar cell devices with advanced technologies. The various new functional materials can be using in these applications which are able to be creating new architectures of energy harvesting materials. Moreover, those materials and devices will be analyzed from characters and functions by all sort of specialized instruments, for example, solar simulator, external and internal quantum efficiency facility, time correlated single photon counting(TCSPC), photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and various photo electron spectroscopies, etc. LEHMS has the number of international collaborators to be abroad. This advantage can be help to make better scientific understanding, in order to improve the quality of our knowledges. And it further is good chance to make international friends.

We are currently looking for passional and potential candidates who wish to join in our group. Please will be in contact to Prof. Sang-il Soek (seoksi@unist.ac.kr, room number: 501-5, building 104 ) or Dr. Byung-wook Park (sapgreen79@unist.ac.kr, building 104). You are welcome to join and invite to LEHMS !!
